1978 את "אמנת האג בדבר ביטול

דרישת האימות למסמכי חוץ

ציבוריים-1961" מטרת אמנה זו לקצר את ההליכים הנדרשים כדי

שתכיר מדינה מסוימת במסמכים רשמיים שהוצאו
במדינה אחרת, וזאת באמצעות "אישור אפוסטיל."

יובהר כי מסמכים ותעודות ציבוריות שהוצאו באחת מהמדינות החברות באמנה הנ"ל והוחתמו בה בחותמת אפוסטיל, תקפים לצורך הצגתם בישראל, ללא צורך באימות / אישור נוסף מאת הנציג הדיפלומטי / קונסולרי בנציגות הישראלית. כמו כן, בעבור מדינות החתומות על אמנת האג, לא יידרש כל אימות נוסף של קונסול נציגות המדינה אליה מיועד המסמך אם הוחתם בישראל בחותמת אפוסטיל.

בנוגע לרשימת המדינות (מחוץ לארה"ב) החתומות על האמנה וכן פירוט על הרשות המוסמכת להענקת אישורי אפוסטיל בכל מדינה (מחוץ לארה"ב) לחץ כאן.
