Taking forward ever-growing partnership in agriculture between Israel and India, two new Centers of Excellence in Uttar Pradesh, under MASHAV and the Indo-Israel Agricultural Project (IIAP), were inaugurated by honorable chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Aditya Nath  ji and Charge d’ Affaires Ms. Maya Kadosh, during Krishi Kumbh 2018 today. These two centers, one in Basti will especially focus on Mangoes, while the second in Kannauj will be focusing on vegetables. Diverse technologies will be demonstrated to farmers here, so that they can choose the technology that suits them best aimed at doubling their income.

Israel is proud to be the official partner of Krishi Kumbh 2018 and hope that millions of farmers will be benefitted with new technologies demonstrated at these centres. Agriculture is a significant part of the Indo-Israeli partnership. It has been a pillar of our relations alongside security, water, innovation and technology. In fact, it includes the other pillars in itself: it provides food security, involves water management and irrigation, relies on innovation of scientists and farmers, and makes use of innovative agro-technology, ensuring more crop per drop.
