    “TO THE END OF LAND”

The Embassy of Israel in India in association with the National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi and the Petach Tikva Museum of Art is proud to announce a first of its kind Israeli modern art exhibition in New Delhi.

The exhibition, titled “To The End of Land”, will revolve around man’s connection with land, territory, locality and identity in innovative modern art pieces and installations. The exhibition is a collection of art creations of 19 Israeli artists, including the internationally acclaimed Shahar Marcus who will perform at the exhibition opening.

The exhibition opening will take place April 28th, in the presence of the Ambassador of Israel, the curators from the Petach Tikva Museum and several of the artists. The exhibition will be open to the public throughout May 2018, during which school and groups will be brought to explore the theme of man and land as well as the unique tools of expression chosen by the artists.

Ambassador Daniel Carmon met today with Minister of Culture, Dr. Mahesh Sharma, who praised the initiative and accepted the ambassador’s invitation to the grand opening of the exhibition on the 28th.

Ahead of the exhibition opening, Israeli Ambassador Daniel Carmon said, “This exhibition speaks to the heart of the Indo-Israeli relations as it tells the story of Israel’s agriculture and technology in an innovative and out of the box context of contemporary art. It presents the Israeli spirit not only in its content, but also in its method of delivery. We are proud to have partnered with the Indian Ministry of Culture and the NGMA and to have upgraded our cultural cooperation via this special project. Through art, we find a common language through which to deepen our understanding of one another and strengthen our people to people bonds.”
