February 10th, 2017: The Israel Pavilion at Aero India this year will feature an important development in Israeli defense technologies: “Make in India”. The 11 Israeli Defense companies displaying their wares at the pavilion, big and small, will be presenting advanced, locally developed technologies under the umbrella of “Make in India”.
The defence cooperation between India and Israel is unique, building on the strengths of both countries. Israeli designs matched with India’s singular development and manufacturing capabilities provide innovative and effective defense solutions contributing to both country’s security and economies.
Commenting on the upcoming exhibition, SIBAT’s Director, Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Mishel Ben Baruch said, “Israel has proven itself to be India’s technological partner, advancing together into joint production and translating the ‘Make in India’ vision into reality.”
Defense Attaché Colonel Ze’ev Mivtzari added, “We are proud to be part of the strengthening ties between India and Israel in the field of defense. In Aero India 2017, several strategic joint ventures will be signed by Indian and Israeli companies.”
Ambassador Daniel Carmon said, “Currently celebrating 25 years of diplomatic relations, India and Israel’s growing partnership is deeply rooted in our defense cooperation. Israel was among the first to actively join the ‘Make in India’ initiative on the ground, and I am happy to see more and more Israeli firms finding partners in India’s industries and contributing together to the safety and security of our nations.”
