Ambassador Carmon concludes Visit to Goa

    Ambassador Daniel Carmon has concluded a two-day visit (8-9/12) to the State of Goa together with Consul General of Israel in Mumbai, David Akov. During the visit, Ambassador Carmon called upon Chief Minister of Goa, H. E. Mr. Laxmikant Yashwant Parsekar. He met with Deputy CM, Mr. Francis D’Souza and other ministers including Minister for Forest, Panchayat & Environment, Mr. Rajendra Arlekar; Minister for Agriculture, Sports and Youth Affairs, Tribal Welfare & Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services,  Mr. Ramesh Tawadkar and Minister for Industries, Handicrafts, Textile and Coir, Social Welfare & Co-operation,  Mr. Mahadev Naik.
     
    Ambassador Carmon visited the Naval War College of Goa and spoke to student officers of the 28th Naval Higher Command Course on “Challenges, Opportunities and way ahead for a stronger (Maritime) Partnership”.
     
    The ambassador also met local businessmen and industrialists to discuss new ways to expand the cooperation between Israel and Goa.
     
    Ambassador Carmon said: “The state of Goa might be small but it is outstanding. We are proud to work closely with the Government of Goa and I’m confident we will be able to bring tangible results out of this cooperation in areas such as agriculture, smart-cities, environment for the benefit of people in Goa and in Israel.”
