Israel, Rajasthan to Collaborate in Water Management
Ambassador Daniel Carmon, accompanied by Political Councelor Liron Zaslansky, paid a visit to the state of Rajasthan. He held fruitful discussions with Chief Minister Vasaundhara Raje, Rajasthan Agriculture Minister Prabhu Lal Saini and Water Resources and Public Health Engineering Minister Kiran Maheshwari. The focus of the discussion was enhancing collaboration in water management and conservation apart other areas.
During the discussions Ambassador Carmon emphasized that Israel is well known in the world for its water purification, water supply schemes and their management and Rajasthan can also benefit of its expertise in this field. He also pointed out that only six to nine per cent water loss in Israel and the state of Rajasthan can follow Israel’s water technique in order to check water seepage and water management.
Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje said that Israel has been their age-long Partner and she was sure that this relationship will result in many more landmark agreements, adding that the collaboration in Dates and Olive ventures have captured the imagination of many Indian States.
