Ambassador Daniel Carmon yesterday hosted a group of 20 Israeli soldiers that were wounded in combat. The group has been travelling in India for the past two weeks as part of a trip organized by ZDVO – Zahal disabled Veteran Organization.

The purpose of the trip was to give the veteran soldiers the ultimate experience many young Israelis are looking for after their military service – a backpackers trip to India!
These remarkable individuals overcame many difficulties and experienced the best of India during their trip. They did trekking in the mountains, practiced yoga, visited villages and temples.

On their last day in India they met with Indian veteran soldiers from "War Wounded Foundation" and "Disabled War Veterans (India)" that been wounded on combat at the Ambassador residence in New Delhi.

In their meeting they shared experiences and even compared injuries.

Present in the event was also Major D P Singh - the Indian blade runner.
