    CG Yinam Cohen:
"The Israeli Consulate honored the history and alliance between Black America, Israel and the Jews at the DuSable Museum of African American History in Chicago, together with political and spiritual leadership of the black community of Chicago, and Jewish leadership from around Chicagoland.

I was moved that Congressman Danny Davis shared that he grew up with the idea that there was a strong connection between Black people, Jewish people and the nation of Israel.

As Consul General of Israel to the Midwest, my vision is to refortify our inter-community conversation and action. The Consulate is already working to offer Israeli expertise in mental health, urban agriculture, technology and entrepreneurship, in partnership with community organizations and leaders on the South and West sides of Chicago."
