Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will leave on Sunday morning (28 September 2014) on a working visit to the United States in the framework of which he will address the United Nations General Assembly (Monday), meet with US President Barack Obama in Washington (Wednesday) and meet with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon (Tuesday).
Prime Minister Netanyahu will begin his visit by meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the first meeting in over a decade between the prime ministers of Israel and India.
Prime Minister Netanyahu said, "After the Iranian president's deceptive speech and Abu Mazen's inciteful speech, I will tell the truth of Israel's citizens to the entire world. In my UN General Assembly speech and in all of my meetings I will represent the citizens of Israel and will - on their behalf - refute the slander and lies directed at our country."
Upon leaving for the US to address the UN General Assembly, PM Netanyahu said:
