    The visit was a follow-up to meetings the new Executive Secretary held with Ambassador to Nigeria, Uriel Palti and other officials, on his recent visit to Israel.
     
    In his introductory remarks, the Chargé d'Affaires informed the ES that the courtesy visit was primarily to welcome and congratulate him as the new helmsman of the commission and to appreciate the many years of cooperation between the Embassy and the NCPC. He expressed gratitude for the excellent existing relations and hope for  more collaboration in the future.
     
    The Executive Secretary said he just returned from Israel this week where he met with top Israeli officials and discussed how to improve operations of the pilgrimage to the Holy Land. He would embark on another trip to Israel next month to intensify discussions on the operations of the Commission. He said Nigeria sees Israel as a brother and as such would love to benefit from the Israeli advancement in technology and agriculture, etc. To expose pilgrims especially the youths to modern agriculture.
