The Embassy of Israel recently recorded one of its most memorable and festive events.
It was a day that was set aside to celebrate Israel’s 71 years as a nation. It was an utmost pleasure to have the renowned Idan Raichel Project from Israel in concert at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.
The congress hall came alive as the guests danced to some of the band’s famous hits. Ambassador Shimon Ben-Shoshan in his welcome address said, “Israel has great respect for peace with interest to show her capabilities with the rest of the world and of course Nigeria. “My parents migrated from Morocco to Israel in 1956: I do not think I would have ever imagined that I will return to one of Africa as Ambassador to Nigeria. Everybody knows that Nigerians love Israel and Israelis love Nigeria, specifically the language, the culture and the food and rich cultural diversity that Israel also shares.” The night rounded up with guests interacting and tasting some of the best wines that Israel has to offer.
