Israel and Nigeria collaboration in agriculture

    Israel and Nigeria team up and discuss collaboration in #agriculture as H.E. Ambassador Guy Feldman presents an official letter of invitation to #Agritech2018 from H.E Mr. Uri Ariel M K, Israel’s Minister of Agriculture and Rural development to his counterpart, Chief Audu Ogbe.

    H.E. Ambassador Guy Feldman  on the 30th of January met with the Nigerian Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Chief Audu Ogbe and presented an official letter of invitation to Agritech  Israel 2018 from H.E Mr. Uri Ariel, MK Israel Minister of Agriculture and Rural development.
     
    In attendance were the Director of press Mr. Makinde and Mr. Dennis Goje Special assistant to the Minister, Mr. Nadav Goren and Ms. Florence Osuji from the embassy.

    The minister explained that Nigeria would learn from Israeli expertise in science-based agricultural development.
     
    He also announced that Nigeria would participate in the 2018 edition of Agritec Israel– an International Agricultural Fair to be held in May.
     
    “This will afford Nigeria the opportunity to showcase its agricultural potentials to the outside world with a view to attracting foreign investment in agriculture and allied agri-business”, he said.
     
    Though over half of Israeli soil is semi-arid and only 20 per cent is actually arable, the Middle East country produces 95 percent of its food requirements.
