Temporary Children's Clinic opened in IDP Camp

The Embassy of Israel in Nigeria, together with volunteers of Durumi IDP Camp in the FCT, opened a temporary pediatric clinic at the camp site on September 27th to treat displaced children in need of primary care. The clinic provided medical assistance to IDP children from Bama and Gwoza LGAs in Borno State, who have been staying in Durumi camp since they fled the Boko Haram insurgency a few years ago.
30 children (ages 0-4) were diagnosed and given primary medical treatment. The children were attended to by Dr. Avner Goren, an Israeli pediatrician with a sub specialty in allergy and immunology.
We will strive to continue addressing the immediate needs of the IDP community.
