    With over a decade of experience in media, marketing, and strategic communications, Joe Hyams is an eloquent and outspoken proponent
    and a leading figure in the field of Israel advocacy. Joe has trained thousands of people to effectively identify and counter anti-Israel bias.
     
    Since 2005, Joe has been the CEO of HonestReporting, 
    a USA 501c3 and Israeli non-profit organization,
    dedicated to promoting fair and accurate media 
    coverage of Israel. HonestReporting’s goals are
    achieved through media monitoring, grassroots education, and the provision of services to journalists in
    the region. Under Joe’s leadership, HonestReporting has brought greater awareness to the power of
    media to influence and impact public policy and opinion. Joe’s background with major communication
    firms including Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising informs his unique approach to driving change.

    Joe is regularly invited to speak on expert panels and to delegations visiting Israel on Missions, student
    groups, and community leadership seminars. He has received accolades for his lectures to Jewish
    Federations, AIPAC National Policy Conference, the Annual Herzliya Conference, as well as, school and
    community events across the USA, South America, Australia, Asia, and Israel. In 2016, Joe has been
    invited to address the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya’s Argov Fellows Program, and featured as a
    guest at the prestigious International Salon Tel Aviv. He is a registered bureau speaker with the Embassy
    of Israel, Washington DC, and with the Jewish Federations of North America.

    Joe holds a Masters degree and an MBA in Nonprofit Management from the Hornstein Jewish
    Professional Leadership Program & The Heller School of Social Policy and Management at Brandeis
    University. He volunteers his skills and experience as a judge and early stage mentor for the
    MassChallenge Start-up Accelerator. London born and educated, Joe made aliyah in 2000 and now lives
    in Beit Shemesh on the outskirts of Jerusalem with his wife and their six children.
