Gil serves as the Legal Advisor of the Israeli National Security Council in the Prime Minister's Office. As a member of the NSC's executive staff, Gil leads intergovernmental work for the Prime Minister in the realm of foreign and security affairs. Gil holds a LL.B (with distinction) from Netanya Academic College, and a LL.M in International Law from Georgetown University Law Center (recipient of the Thomas Bradbury Chetwood Prize for graduating first in his class). He is currently a Wexner Fellow at Harvard University.
Born and raised in Haifa, Israel, Gil is married to Limor and a father of Yuval and Lihi.
