    Nir received his Ph.D. in legal and political philosophy from Boston University in 2005; prior to that he studied law in Tel Aviv. Nir is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Suffolk University in Boston where he co-founded and directs the Graduate Program in Ethics and Public Policy. 

    He writes and teaches primarily on political reconciliation, post war reconstructions and the ethics of war. He has written and edited several books and numerous articles on these topics. In addition to his scholarly work, Eisikovits often writes for American newspapers and magazines, primarily about the Middle East conflict. He has written for the Boston Globe, Miami Herald, Christian Science Monitor, National Interest, Forward and Cognoscenti among others.

    Nir is a captain in the IDF reserves. He would be glad to talk about the Israeli-Arab conflict, reconciliation attempts between Israelis and Palestinians, peacemaking in a comparative perspectives, dilemmas of peacemaking and post war reconstruction, the ethics of war, the ethics of fighting terrorists and guerrillas.
