    Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, today (Thursday, 24 November 2016), spoke by telephone with Russian President Vladimir Putin who acceded to the former's request for assistance in extinguishing the fires and said that Russia would immediately send two giant Beriev be-200 firefighting aircraft.
     
    Prime Minister Netanyahu thanked Russian President Putin for the response and the assistance.
