PM Netanyahu meets with Israel’s ambassador to UNESCO

    Ambassador Shama-Hacohen will return to Paris in the coming days to continue his exchanges with UNESCO's Director General, during which he will reveal the steps that were formulated in Jerusalem to restore proper relations between UNESCO and Israel.

    Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met this evening (Tuesday, 9 November) in his office with Israel's Ambassador to UNESCO, Carmel Shama-Hacohen, together with Foreign Ministry Acting Director General Yuval Rotem.

    This was the final meeting in a series of consultations held by the Foreign Ministry with Ambassador Shama-Hacohen to evaluate the nature of Israel's future relations with UNESCO.

    Ambassador Shama-Hacohen will return to Paris in the coming days to continue his
    exchanges with UNESCO's Director General, during which he will reveal the steps that were formulated in Jerusalem to restore proper relations between UNESCO and Israel.
