Yityish “Titi” Aynaw, the First Miss Israel of Ethiopian descent, just finished her first US ambassadorial trip.

Aynaw (22) was crowned as Miss Israel 2013, and is currently a college student at the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya. In her tour, she visited New York, Washington DC, and Philadelphia.

In New York, Aynaw stopped by The Dr. Oz Show, where she told her inspiring life story of moving to Israel at age 12 after losing both of her parents, attending high school, and becoming an officer in the IDF.

In Philadelphia, Aynaw paid a surprise visit to the Philadelphia 76ers during their practice.

During her stay in DC, she met with members of the large ethiopean community and  helped crown Mr. and Mrs. GW at The George Washington University’s Hillel. On Thursday, February 20, she visited the AJC (American Jewish Committee) DC regional office where she was hosted by The Global Circle and Leadership Council members of AJC ACCESS DC.
