MFA Dir-Gen leaves on official visit to Kazakhstan

    Dir-Gen Rotem will participate in a political dialogue with Kazakh officials on the issue of bilateral relations between the two countries, and will meet with Kazakh FM Abdrakhmanov to discuss various bilateral and multilateral issues.

    Ministry of Foreign Affairs Director General Yuval Rotem will leave today (Wednesday, 28 June 2017) on an official visit to Astana, capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the visit, Dir-Gen Rotem will visit Expo 2017 on the occasion of Israel National Day. 
     
    During his visit, Dir-Gen Rotem will participate in a political dialogue with senior Kazakh officials with regard to the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries. The Kazakh delegation will be headed by Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister Akylbek Kamaldinov. He will also meet with Kazakh Foreign Minister Kairat Abdrakhmanov to discuss various bilateral and multilateral issues on the agenda.
     
    Renewable energies are the main focus of Expo 2017. The Israeli Pavilion, which is showcasing Israeli technologies and innovations in this field, is generating a great deal of interest.
     
    Dir-Gen Rotem's visit is a follow-up to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to Kazakhstan in December 2016.
