​This week Eli Groner, Israel’s Minister for Economic Affairs to the United States, traveled to Birmingham, Alabama to highlight the increasing economic cooperation between the United States and Israel.

Birmingham Mayor William A. Bell, Sr. offered a proclamation on behalf of the City in support of the continued ties between Birmingham and its sister city in Israel, Rosh Ha’ayin.

“Birmingham and Rosh Ha’ayin, Israel have a long and rich history of exchanges and Sister City projects,” said the Declaration. “Birmingham’s business, cultural, educational and other ties to Israel are growing in depth, number and mutual usefulness.” 

Ambassador Oren recently spoke to the growing economic cooperation between the United States and Israel: “In addition to the deep spiritual ties, shared democratic values and strong security cooperation, the U.S.-Israel relationship has a growing fourth pillar: that’s the commercial relationship."​
