Today, September 11, 2013, Ambassador Michael Oren made the following statement:
"On this somber day, the people of Israel stand shoulder to shoulder with the American people in recalling the ruthless terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. We honor the lives of the nearly 3,000 citizens killed that day and honor their memory as we strengthen our resolve to defend the democratic values that unite our two great countries. Israel will continue to work closely with the United States to prevent future terrorist attacks and will uphold our freedom, liberty, and pursuit of peace. On this day, we commemorate those who fell 12 years ago. Together, we remember."
