    ​Ifat Reshef joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1993. An attorney by training, Ms. Reshef has worked in the ministry's legal department, as well as at the Center for Political Research. She has served twice at the Israeli embassy in Cairo, where she held in her second tour of duty the post of deputy ambassador. She also served as the Cultural Attache' at the Israeli embassy in Rome. Ms. Reshef now serves as Minister-Counselor for Middle Eastern affairs at the Israeli embassy
     
    Ms. Reshef, who is married and has two children, speaks English and Arabic.
