Tel Aviv Hosts Annual Gay Pride Parade

100,000 in Tel Aviv's Annual Gay Pride Parade

    Over 100,000 participants from around the world participated in Tel Aviv's 16th annual Gay Pride Parade on Friday (June 7). The event culminated a week long Pride Celebration in Tel Aviv and represents a marquee event on the global LGBT calendar. 
     
    Thousands of supporters from the international LGBT community took to the streets, waving flags and carrying signs in support of the the festivities. 


    Did you Know?

    • In 2012, Tel Aviv was voted the world's best city for gay tourism by GayCities.com and American Airlines, surpassing Berlin, New York and San Francisco.
    • GayCities also voted Tel Aviv's Hilton Beach as one of the world's Top 10 gay beaches last year.
    • In 2010, Out magazine recognized Tel Aviv as the most gay-friendly city in the Middle East.
