Kobbi Shoshani currently serves
as the Consul General of Israel to the Mumbai. He is the official representative
of the state of Israel in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Goa.
Prior to his appointment to
Mumbai, Mr. Shoshani has visited India several times in the past. In 1992, he
has sent for 6-month period, right after the establishment of the full
diplomatic relations between India and took part in forming our embassy in the in
New Delhi. Kobbi had sent by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Mumbai
right after 26/11 terror attacks in 2008 and in 2018.
Mr. Shoshani joined Israel's
Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1991. He served as a first Secretary and Consul
in the Embassies of Israel in Bangkok and Tokyo from 1997 to 2002. After his
return to Israel, he was the Coordinator of the Consular Division. In 2004, he
appointed as counselor in the Embassy of Israel in Stockholm for 4 years. In
2008 as the director of contracts in the finance department. In 2011, he has
served in Brussels as a Minister of Management Affairs in the Israeli Mission
to EU and for the Israel Embassy in Belgium. In 2015 after he was back home He
become the Advisor for the Director General, Amb. Dore Gold. His Las Job was
the Head of the division of internal inspection of the Ministry.
Mr. Shoshani was born in Israel
in 1966. During his service in the Israel Defense Forces, he retired as a
Captain in the signal corps. Following his military service, he received a B.A.
in International Relations Studies from Hebrew University in Jerusalem and M.A
in Public Diplomacy for senior civil servants program from the same university.
Mr. Shoshani is married to Yael De-Paz and has three children.
He speaks Hebrew, English and
little French.
He likes to play tennis, ride a
mountain bike photography. Kobbi is crazy about Indian films and food.
