Issuing and Extending Travel Documents

    • This service is offered only to registered Israeli citizens who have an Israeli ID number
    •  An Israeli citizen's first passport cannot be issued via mail service. To schedule an appointment for a first passport, click here. An Israeli citizen's first adult​ passport cannot be issued via mail service as well.
    •  An Israeli citizen who has not been to Israel during the past ten (10) years must arrive at the consulate in person to renew their passport by scheduling an appointment online.
    •  An application submitted for a minor Israeli citizen must be signed by both parents in the presence of a consular representative - This mandates an appointment to be scheduled. Additionally, a copy of each of the parents' Israeli passports must be included in the application. If one of the parents does not hold Israeli citizenship, a copy of their foreign passport must be included.
    • Applicants 16.4 years of age and older must settle their army status. Their status has to be settled before an application for a travel document can be processed. For information on this process click here
    • If the travel document was stolen, lost or damaged the applicant must include a signed declaration in the presence of a consul - This mandates an appointment to be scheduled. The declaration can be found here. A photocopy of an Israeli ID must be included in your application. Additional fees may incur.
    • Application processing times may vary. At this time, processing time is about 4 weeks. 
    • An application for a biometric passport can only be submitted at the Ministry of Interior in Israel.

    • Current travel document.
    • 2 passport photos on white background 2*2 inches
    • Application form. Please note, application must be filled out completely and signed. The application form can be found here. (For extension, please use Form #2 instead). Mailed applications require the signature of a notary from the following states/regions: Florida, Missouri, Kansas, Puerto Rico.
    • Payment can be made by credit card.

    Citizens wishing to use their own return envelope are requested not to use a UPS package, and are instead asked to use FedEx or USPS/US Mail. UPS packages will be sent back along with an additional $17 delivery fee.
    All the required documents must be presented at the appointment made for travel document renewal or be mailed (if permitted) to the consulate at:

    Information About A One Time Entry Document
     
    A one time entry document can be issued for an Israeli citizen. It is valid for 14 days from the day of issuance and can be used only to fly to Israel on a direct flight (in some cases a short lay over is possible).
     
    Required documents:
    • Previous Israeli travel document (if lost/stole a photocopy of said document must be provided.  If unavailable, a photocopy of an Israeli ID).
    • Two (2) passport pictures (white background 2x2 inches)
    • Proof of travel
    • Application.  Form can be found here.
     
    Applicant must schedule an appointment in advance of their flight. Any who arrive at the consulate with no appointment will not be considered.
    Applications for this document cannot be submitted by mail.  Every applicant must appear at the Consulate in person.
