    i3 Market Intelligence Platform Shows Country’s Year-to-Date Investment Totals at $151 Million
     
    Cleantech Group™, provider of the i3 market intelligence platform and global consulting services, today released preliminary 3Q13 results from i3. The firm reported that in Israel, clean technology venture investment during the quarter totaled $111 million, bringing the year-to-date total to $151 million.
     
    According to data in i3, Israel’s top deals and their investors were:
    • Kaiima, an Agriculture & Forestry company, raised $65 million from Horizon Ventures, International Finance Corporation (IFC), Infinity Group, Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ), and DFJ Tamir Fishman Ventures in a growth equity round
    • Altair Semiconductor, an Energy Efficiency company, raised $25 million from Bessemer Venture Partners, BRM Capital, Giza Venture Capital, Pacific Technology Fund, and Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP) in a growth equity round
    • Blue Sphere, a Recycling & Waste company, raised $18 million from Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation in a structured debt round
    • PV Nano Cell, a Solar company, raised $3.5 million from Infinity Group, Israel Electric Corporation, Slobel, and Terra Venture Partners in a Series A round
    • Pentalum Technologies, a Wind company, raised an undisclosed amount from GE Ventures in a growth equity round
