Oren Marmorstein is the Deputy Ambassador of Israel to the UK.
Mr. Marmorstein previously served as the Policy Advisor to the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). He also served as the Policy Advisor to the MFA's Political Director. Prior to that, Mr. Marmorstein worked at the MFA's Strategic Affairs Division covering counter terrorism and regional security issues. For his work at the Strategic Affairs Division, Mr. Marmorstein received the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Outstanding Employee Award for 2017.
In his postings abroad, Mr. Marmorstein served as Counselor for Public Affairs at the Embassy of Israel in Washington D.C..
Prior to that he served as Head of Political Affairs at the Embassy of Israel in Cairo, during the turbulent times of the Egyptian Revolution.
Before joining the MFA, Mr. Marmorstein was Senior Advisor to the Minister of Interior. He also served as Chief of Staff of the House Committee Chairman at the Knesset (Israel's Parliament).
Mr. Marmorstein is a member of the Israeli Bar Association. After completing his law studies, he worked as a law clerk at the Supreme Court of the State of Israel.
Mr. Marmorstein holds an M.A. degree in Critical Cultural Studies, Individual Honors Program in the Faculties of Social Sciences and Humanities (Summa Cum Laude) and an L.L.B. degree from the Faculty of Law, both from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Mr. Marmorstein served as a lieutenant in the Military Intelligence Directorate of the Israel Defense Force.
Mr. Marmorstein is happily married to Michal and together they have two daughters.
