SAZ, Adi Ulmansky & Garden City Movement At Glastonbury Festival |
|
The dynamism of Israel’s music scene is on display at this year’s Glastonbury Festival: ranging from the Arabic, Hebrew and English hip hop of SAZ, the Palestinian rapper from Ramle (mixed Arab and Jewish Israeli city) to the RnB infused cuts, soft vocals, electronica and rap of Adi Ulmansky and to Garden City Movement’s frenetic fusion of dancefloor-ready beats, intertwining vocals and mixes drawn from their diverse cultural worlds; Israel’s many musical faces shall be taking the stage at the UK’s leading Festival.

'Predators and Prey: A Roman Mosaic from Lod, Israel' At Waddesdon Manor |
|
Enigmatic not only as it juxtaposes animal hunting scenes with a marine scene, but also because no human figures or deities are displayed, the rare Roman mosaic pavement excavated in Lod, Israel measures roughly eight metres in length, is dated to around 300 AD and forms the centrepiece of this exhibition.
