​Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this evening spoke with Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch and asked him to instruct the Israel Police to act aggressively against violence against women in the public sphere. The Prime Minister also spoke with Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein in order to ascertain that the laws regarding discrimination against women in the public sphere are being enforced. “Extremist groups cannot be allowed to infringe on the rights of women in the public sphere, which must remain open and safe for everyone,” the Prime Minister said.
