    On Sunday, 2nd June 2013, the London Israeli Film and Television Festival 2013 opened at BAFTA with honoured guests Assi Dayan and His Excellency Daniel Taub in attendance. Mr. Dayan’s latest film Dr. Pomerantz premiered, entertaining a host of British, Israeli and international guests.

     
     
    Ambassador Taub paid tribute to the organizers of the Seret festival, saying that now that it was in its second year, it has become a welcome fixture in the calendar. “When countries try to speak to each other, diplomats can only do so much,” he said. “But by sharing the stories closest to our hearts, film has the ability to create a deeper conversation between peoples.”

    Guests included: Assi Dayan, His Excellency Daniel Taub, Iris Ambor, Counselor for Cultural Affairs at the Israeli Embassy, film producer Alon Shtruzman, actress Hadas Yaron, film director Amir Manor, actress Noa Bodner and Laurence Kirschel and his wife Ivona.
     
    The London Israeli Film and Television Festival, is being held from June 9th – 16th 2013 at cinemas across London.
    SERET showcases the best in current Israeli film and television, bringing a special selection of Israeli drama and comedy features, documentaries, shorts and TV series, with workshops for those in the film and television industries to join. There are UK premieres, gala events and Q & As with the film makers to enjoy and consider.
