​Minister of Foreign Affairs Yair Lapid contacted his Greek counterpart, Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias, with a request for air assistance in battling the wildfires in Jerusalem’s mountains, and received a response from him that Greece would assist as much possible. FM Lapid simultaneously held consultations with the MFA staff that are coordinating the international assistance from MFA situation room, where inquiries are now being made to Greece, Cyprus, Italy, France, and other countries, including in our region, in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Security.
