FM Liberman to represent Israel at CERN ceremony

    Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman will depart on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 for Geneva, where he will represent Israel at the ceremony admitting Israel as a full member of CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research. The ceremony will take place at 10:00 Geneva time on Wednesday, January 15. Following the ceremony, FM Liberman will meet with CERN Director-General Rolf Heuer and will visit the Large Hadron Collider, to learn about this project in which Israeli scientists participate.

    On Tuesday, January 14, FM LIberman will meet in Geneva with the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navanethem Pillay, with Director-General of the World Health Organization Dr. Margaret Chan, and with the Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Europe Sven  Alkalaj.

    On Thursday, January 16, FM Liberman will meet in Vienna with Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz.
