This week Counsellor Ismail
Khaldi continued the Embassy's commitment to reaching out to the whole UK
visiting communities around the country including Inverness in Scotland, and
Kenton, North of London.
His visit to each of
these places coincided with meetings of fledgling Israel groups, who are coming
together in support of Israel. Khaldi spoke at each event reaffirming the
Embassy's commitment to supporting these groups in any way possible.
Reflecting on his week of travels, Khaldi said, "I was honoured to be
invited to meet these groups. These people are the ones working tirelessly to
strengthen the ties between Israel and the UK and to support peace in and
around Israel. It is sad when the tiny minority who hate Israel are the ones
who scream the loudest, but it was amazing to see so many people coming
together under one roof, and I look forward to working with them in the n ear
future."
