Following the huge success of last year’s Bizcamp Tel Aviv competition, the UK’s youngest startup companies are being offered the chance to pitch for an investment and win an opportunity to visit the world’s most exciting ‘Startup Nation’, Israel.

 

H.E. Daniel Taub, Ambassador of Israel to the UK, and competition judge, said: “It gives me enormous pleasure to see this competition running for a second year, particularly after the quality and diversity of entries we saw in 2012. I have heard Israel referred to as the world’s biggest start-up. If that is true, then the dynamic start-up community in Tel Aviv is its beating heart. Bizcamp is an oppportunity to experience at first-hand the energy which permeates the streets of Tel Aviv. It is a chance to inspired, and forge life-long friendships. ”

 

The lucky UK winner will join a delegation of thirteen talented tech start-up owners from around the world, touring Tel Aviv and taking part in an intense five day itinerary of seminars, workshops and networking events being run by leading Israeli entrepreneurs and investors. Whilst in Israel, winners will also gain exclusive access to DLD Festival Tel Aviv 2013 the global conference about innovation, digital media, science and culture.

This competition has been organised by The City of Tel Aviv, Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and The Next Web. Flights, accommodation and free entry to the DLD Festival are included in the prize, in addition to a range of social activities that will ensure winners get to experience all the fun that Israel has to offer.

Bizcamp’s panel of entrepreneurs, investors, journalists and statesmen will select four UK finalists to take part in a live Grand Final event in London on 12th September.

Entrants must be aged between 23 and 40, and must available to travel between 12th and 17th October 2013.
