犹太人社会:漫长的归途
犹太人大约在2, 000年前被驱逐出以色列故土,后来流散到其他国家,主要是在欧洲、北非和中东。多少世纪以来,尽管他们在世界各地建立了许多大型的犹太社区,但他们还是不时遭到无情的歧视、残酷的集体迫害和全体或部分的驱逐。每一次迫害和暴力的浪潮都他们坚信"流亡者的聚集"这一观念,并激励着个人和各团体重返祖先家园的信念。
创立于19世纪末的犹太复国主义运动将这一观念变成了一种生活方式,而以色列国则将这一观念变成了法律,它赋予每一个希望在这一国家定居的犹太人以公民权。
