the context of Israel’s technological thriving innovation. Beyond the top level
academic course, students will get a chance to see the start-up eco-system of
Tel Aviv and its surroundings, and will participate in an exciting social and
cultural programming by our madrichim (counselors).
The program consists of a 4 credit course under the
title of " Business Entrepreneurship: Israel as a Case Study", given
by Dr. Gil Avnimelech. The course is aimed at exploring the many dimensions of
new innovative venture creation, development and financing. Within its frame, students
would deal with issues such as sources of ideas, type of opportunities,
creativity and idea generation, business model design, business model
validation, stages of start-up development, the lean startup approach, IP
protection, business plan writing, and sources of finance for new innovative
ventures. Many of the examples and cases presented in the course will be taken
from the Israeli context. The course will include guest lecturers for the
Israeli high tech industry.
