The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II recently travelled to Israel for a 7 day visit to hold bilateral talks with the Israeli Prime Minister, H. E. Shimon Peres, and other high profile dignitaries and Israeli investors with the goal of exploring opportunities and wooing investors towards the development of the Ashanti Region in particular and Ghana as a whole.

The Ambassador of the State of Israel in Accra, H. E. Sharon Bar-li who was in Israel during the Asantehene’s visit hosted him in Israel.
The business trip by His Majesty also saw and marked the display of the rich Ashanti culture. As climax of his Majesty’s visit, H. E. Shimon Peres hosted the Asantehene at his official residence in Jerusalem and an event was also held at King David Hotel in Jerusalem in his honor of his visit.
His Majesty also had the opportunity to meet and interact with a cross section of Ghanaians in Israel.
