MR AVIEL AVRAHAM APPOINTED NEW DCM

    We are excited to introduce to you the newest addition to our growing family of Israel in Ghana. Mr. Aviel Avraham is the New Deputy Chief of Mission. 

    Before his arrival in Ghana, Mr. Avraham served for three years as Deputy Consul General at the Israeli Consulate in Sao Paulo, Brazil, promoting relations between Israel and Brazil.

    Between 2014 and 2019 Mr Avraham worked at the Israeli Ministry of Science, Technology and Space where he promoted collaborations between Israeli and foreign research teams on issues of national priority.
    Prior to entering government service, Mr. Avraham established and managed a program to promote excellence among students at Reichman University (IDC) in Herzliya.

    Throughout his career and personal life, Mr Avraham has dedicated himself to building bridges between cultures to break down barriers, foster understanding and develop lasting relationships. For more than two decades he participated in expeditions aimed at creating dialogue between Israel and members of diverse communities throughout the United States, Brazil and Europe.

    He is also a senior master sergeant (res.) in the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) where he received a commendation from the Home Front Command for his service during Operation Tzuk Eitan in 2014.

    He has a Master's Degree (M.A) in Diplomacy, Government and Public Policy from the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) in Herzliya. He also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Sociology from Bar Ilan University (BIU).

    Aviel was born in Ethiopia and made Aliya (immigrated to Israel) with his family at the age of 5.
