H. E. SHANI COOPER ON A WORKING VISIT TO HO

    ​On Thursday, 23 January 2020, H. E. Shani Cooper went on a two – day working visit to Ho, the capital of the Volta Region.

    On the educational level, H. E. Shani Cooper had a very insightful public lecture with the faculty, management and students of the University of Health and Allied Sciences. She shared thoughts on the Israeli economic development and innovation system. She also met with the management of the Ho Technical University to discuss possible means of collaboration.

    On the political side, H. E. Shani Cooper met with the Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Letsa, the Municipal Chief Executive of Ho and the Members of Parliament for Ho Wes and Central.


    She was also pleased to have called on the President of the National House of Chiefs and the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV.

    Ambassador Cooper also met with some members of the Ghana Journalist Association in Ho to brief them on the activities of the Embassy.  

    Ambassador Cooper visited the Government of Ghana's STEAM project in Ho which is being constructed by an Israeli company. 

    Volta Region, is one of Ghana's sixteen administrative regions, with Ho designated as its capital. It is located west of Republic of Togo and to the east of Lake Volta. Divided into 25 administrative districts, the region is multi-ethnic and multilingual, including groups such as the Ewe, the Guan, and the Akan peoples. The Guan peoples include the Lolobi, Likpe, Akpafu, Buem, and Nkonya people, et al.
