On Sunday 18 December 2022, the Embassy joined the Action Chapel International to light the first candle of Hanukkah. It was a very special moment as H. E. Shlomit Sufa joined His Eminence Archbishop Nicolas Duncan Williams to light the first candle of Hanukkah with emphasis on Psalm 18:28.

In her remarks, H. E. Shlomit Sufa expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Action Chapel International for hosting the Embassy.

“On behalf of the State of Israel, the Jewish Community in Ghana and the Embassy, I would like to once again express my gratitude to the leadership of His Eminence, Archbishop Duncan Williams, the Action Chapel International and congregation for your commitment and dedication to supporting the State of Israel.”

On Tuesday, 20 December, the embassy held an end of year reception for some friends and working partners. His Eminence Archbishop Nicolas Duncan-Williams, H. E. Virginia Palmer and Madam Cynthia Asare Bediako joined Ambassador Sufa to light the third Candle of Hanukkah.

    H. E. Shlomit Sufa used the occasion to express her gratitude to all friends and partners of the Embassy for their partnership and collaboration with the Embassy throughout the year.
