Ohene-Anuoyam Fletcher Boateng-Antwi, a 16 year old Ghanaian with passion for global leadership and computing has been awarded a full scholarship to study at Givat Haviva International School (GHIS) in Israel. Prior to gaining admission to GHIS, he was pursuing his Senior High education at Akosombo International School.
Mr Boateng-Antwi got a recommendation from the Embassy of Israel to represent Ghana at GHIS. He also went through a very robust selection process with essay submissions and a series of interviews to finally earn a place at GHIS in Israel.
Bidding farewell to Israeli Ambassador-Designate, H. E. Shlomit Sufa, Mr. Boateng-Antwi remarked that “I am very grateful to the embassy for nominating me for the GHIS opportunity, I look forward to joining the other students from different parts of the world.”
“I hope to use this opportunity to nurture my global leadership aspirations and also learn new things,” he added.
On her part, H. E. Shlomit Sufa, Israeli Ambassador-Designate to Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone expressed optimism in the scholarship opportunity for Ohene-Anuoyam Fletcher Boateng-Antwi. Ms. Sufa is hopeful that Ohene-Anuoyam will enjoy the experience and return to Ghana with a lot of insights that will contribute to the development of Ghana.
At GHIS, Ohene-Anuoyam Fletcher Boateng-Antwi will study Global Politics, Computing, Economics, Mathematics and Spanish. Givat Haviva is a non-profit organization founded in 1949 as the national education center of the Kibbutz Federation.
