    Training on:  COMBATING DESERTIFICATION AND DROUGHT

    From November 4 to November 25, 2014

    Who can apply?

    The course is geared towards professionals from countries affected by drought and desertification processes and have adopted a National Action Plan to combat desertification. Candidates should hold an academic degree in related disciplines, and at least two years of professional work experience in related fields. Priority will be given to professional staff involved in national / regional projects, with and/or under the aegis of governmental institutions, national and/or international organizations, research institutes, universities, NGOs, etc.

    From October 22 to November 9, 2014
     
    Who can apply?
     
    Priority wil be given to preofessionales from extension and academic fields, involved in dairy cattle production projects and technologies with (and/or under the sponsorship of) national and/or international organizations, intitutions, universities, NGO's and the private sector.
     
    Course participants must have a relevant academic degree and at least three years of practical work experience. A very good command of the English language is essential.

    From October 27 to November 17, 2014
    Who can apply?

    Member of a police force, with at least three years of experience in the institution.

    Civil servant in the public ministry responsible of the police activity in your country, region, or municipality.
    In charge of formal or informal institutions, whose members or participants work together with the police (such as schools, neighbor councils, community centers, guilds).

    From November 16 to December 10, 2014
    Who can apply?
    This course is designed for research, extension and academic professionals from government agencies, as well as from national or international organizations, universities, research institutes, civil society and the private sector involved in vegetable production and that are interested in current advances in vegetable production technologies.
    Course participants must have a relevant academic degree and at least three (3) years of practical work experience in related fields. A very good command of the English language is essential.

    From November 24 to December 18, 2014
    High-level educational staff, regional or national, lecturers at teacher training institutions, school principals, counselors, or supervisors, and researchers in relevant fields.

    Training on:
    WOMEN´S LEADERSHIP AND THE ENVIRONMENT: BUILDING SUSTANCIONABLE COMMUNITIES
    From December 1 - 18, 2014
    Women and men community leaders, grassroots development officers, local governance officers, non - governmental rural development practitioners, and heads of women´s organizations.
    Candidates are expected to have academic training or equivalent professional qualifications in relevant subjects, with at least 5 years of practical experience. They should be presently engaged in promoting sustainable living in their communities.
