​Gyrocopters for Nepal initiative began to help Nepal in the post-earthquake recovery and rebuilding efforts.

Mr. Shay Noy, gyrocopter expert from Israel came to Nepal to assess the possibility to use gyrocopters so as to help in the post-earthquake response. For the same purpose, he met with different humanitarian agencies like Save the Children, ultra-light aircraft companies and Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal. The project is in a phase of initial assessment and hope to be worked out soon.

Gyrocopters could be of great assistance in the post-earthquake relief activities especially in hard-to-reach communities of Nepal. It will be less costly compared to other air transportation and has ability to bypass dangerous and lengthy land travel.
