CEO of Sana Kisan Bikas Bank, Mr. Jalan Kumar Sharma
Dear students and friends from media,
    Namaste and good morning.

It is my honour and pleasure to represent the Embassy of Israel to the interaction program and say few words to the students, who will soon be leaving for Israel to study and conduct research oriented practical work in agriculture.

I wish to congratulate you, all the students, for being selected for the course after going through a series of selection process and having completed the theoretical class here in Kathmandu University.

I hope that after the advanced training in Israel, you will be able to share your knowledge with your fellow farmers; apply modern technology and learned skills, which I am sure, will certainly enhance the performances of small farmers in Nepal and upgrade their situation. I also hope that you engage in agriculture projects in future to contribute in agricultural development in Nepal. You are the ambassadors of your regions to start advanced and modern farming with your soon to be learned skills.

The Nepali students have been appreciated and made great impressions in Israel both academically and in terms of works and I hope that it will be maintained and even uplifted with the every new batch of students going to Israel for this program.

This year, Sana Kisan Bikas Bank and the Embassy has collaborated with the Kathmandu University in order to provide theoretical knowledge to the students selected to go to Israel for the learn and earn program. I hope that this addition has eased the students in learning about what to expect in Israel and address many questions.

I want to thank Sana Kishan Bikas Bank and Kathmandu University especially for this collaboration and project. There are great expectations from it and everyone is watching. I hope that the expectations are well met and this project becomes a huge success.

Lastly, I wish the students all the very best and good luck.

    Thank you.
