    Shalom and Namaste,
Welcome to the Official Site of the Embassy of Israel in Nepal,
I am honored and pleased to serve as the 20th Ambassador of Israel to Nepal and to follow up on the good work of my predecessors.
This is my second term in Nepal, as Ambassador of Israel to Nepal. I am enthralled with the beautiful and culturally rich and warm country, Nepal. Though Nepal and Israel are miles apart, Nepalese and Israelis are always close at hearts. Nepal is one of the most loved travel destinations for young Israelis and around 10,000 travel enthusiasts come to Nepal every year to enjoy the beauty of the country. Nepalese are also warmly welcome in Israel.

The diplomatic relationship between the two nations was established on 1 June, 1960, making Nepal the first South Asian country to have diplomatic ties with Israel. In the following year i.e. in March 1961, the state of Israel opened its Embassy in Kathmandu. Since then, both the countries have been enjoying deep friendship, which is being demonstrated by many high level visits and undertaking of numerous mutually benefitting cooperation. The bilateral relationship over this time has mirrored remarkable changes. The state of Israel has been sharing its expertise learned in the course of its development through MASHAV (Israels Agency for International Development Cooperation) in the fields of agriculture, education, science, technology, entrepreneurship, water resources and many more. To conclude, I would like to say that we have an opportunity to do better and we can do so together. I look forward to working closely with the Government of Nepal and addressing both opportunities and challenges for the betterment of our peoples in both the nations.

    Toda Raba! Dhanyabaad! Thank you!
