​Israel Guangdong Institute of Technology recently received the approval from the Ministry of education. The college enrollment is expected to begin in 2017, will be the first to open three undergraduate majors in environmental engineering, chemical engineering and materials engineering.

Israel Guangdong Institute of Technology is located in the East and South Campus of Shantou University. According to the plan, the college campus takes 623.45 MU of land. A campus (north campus, 102.85 MU of land in the net) investment of about 600m Yuan is expected in 2015 September to start the construction period two (south campus, campus net of 520.6 acres of land) in 2018.

It is reported that Li Ka-shing Foundation donated 5m yuan to support the cooperation preparatory work and transition campus construction.

The College will be the first to open three undergraduate majors in environmental engineering, chemical engineering and materials engineering. The number of students will eventually reach 5000 people, of which about 4000 undergraduate students, graduate students of about 1000 people.
Before the formal enrollment, Israel Technoion will continue to recruit students in Guangdong admitting college entrance examination scores, but does not occupy the college enrollment plan, does not affect the domestic college entrance examination.

Guangdong students can enrolled in the school of chemical engineering, civil engineering (minor environmental engineering), receiving teaching in English, 4 years of undergraduate study in Israel, received Bachelor of Science at Technion after graduation. This year Technion will ecroll no more than 50 people in Guangdong and English test and interview will be held in mid-June after the end of the entrance examination in Shantou University.
