Although agricultural technology is  the advanced in Israel, but compared to other provinces, Guangdong also has its own peculiarities. So, while accepting the Express interview, Consul General of Israel in Guangdong noted that in addition to agriculture, Israel and Guangdong has made remarkable achievements on water and education cooperation.

Hi GZ: You recently held in Zhuhai, Guangdong and Israeli agribusiness docking activities?

Consul General: Yes, this event is that we and the Guangdong Department of Agriculture jointly organized, WITH the hope that  companies, experts and officials from two nations sit together to exchange.
  This time, 16 Israeli companies attended the event, nearly 50 Chinese companies, mainly from Guangdong. At the event, each Israeli company has three minutes of presentation time, the next step of their exchange.

Hi GZ: But here is famous for manufacturing and trade, Guangdong is not a major agricultural province.

Consul General: agriculture is still very important. I have been to Meizhou, Huizhou and other places, there are a lot of farmland. Moreover, Israel's advanced agricultural experience is not limited to agricultural products, more, to the entire system design and optimization, which is why we have demonstration farm in China.

Hi GZ: In China, every province has its own characteristics, in terms of co-operation, What is unique for Israeli cooperation in Guangdong?

Consul General: there is a Israel-china industrial park in Dongguan, which have adopted the technology of water treatment companies in Israel, designed to deal with industrial waste water surrounding the plant, by allowing water purification safely back river. Water pollution treatment is a promising field of cooperation between the two places.

Hi GZ: there have been numerous Israeli Nobel laureates came to Guangdong?

Consul General: Master of Science international forum recently held in Guangzhou, there are five Nobel Prize winners to participate, among them two from Israel. Through them, we hope to inspire more Guangdong young people have ideals.

Hi GZ: When it comes to innovation, in fact, a lot of consulates in Guangzhou are emphasizing that this was his country areas of expertise, then what is unique innovation in Israel?

Consul General: Innovation requires a large enough market to support their achievement. Israel is a small country, the market is very limited, so after innovation, we are more willing to share with other people, and not become a secret.
And Israel has become a culture of innovation, I remember one time visit an innovative workshop in Herzelia, there are 10 groups of young people , each group of four people, their task is to come up with a set of their own solve the water problem. It is understood that these programs are generally only 5% probability of success, and  I ask the young people how to do if it fails, their answer is: go to the beach in the sun, then come back with an idea.

Hi GZ:  In the Guangdong region, the concept of the Maritime Silk Road of the 21st century has been in the ascendant, what collaboration space in the future will have to be tapped between Israel and Guangdong?

Consul General: Chinese companies are responsible for the expansion of the Israeli port of Ashdod, Haifa Newport franchise has also been made for the Chinese. In the future, if the southern tip of Israel from Eilat to Ashdod railway can through, it will open up from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean shipping channel, and further narrow the distance between Guangdong and Europe.
