On the morning of Sept 15, Peretz Lavie, President of Israel Institute of Technology (Technion) visited SCUT with the company of Avraham Nir, consul general of Israel Consulate in Guangzhou. QIU Xueqing, Vice-president greeted the guests in Liwu Bldg of Science.
After the conference, the two sides signed a memorandum and cooperation contract, thus starting exchanges in such fields as instructors' exchange, cooperative S&R, joint cultivation of students, and so forth.
The delegation, led by Peretz Lavie, visited Architectural Design Research Institute, School of Materials Science and Engineering and School of Light Industry and Food Science, and exchanged their warm greetings with the instructors there.
It is learnt that Technion is one of the most renowned colleges of engineering in the world, ranking 109th in latest list worldwide. The Institute is famous for its specialities of materials science and engineering, aeronautics and astronautics and computer science.
