New Procedures for Visiting Judea & Sumaria

We would like to bring to your attention that updated procedures for the entry of foreigners into the Judea & Samaria region were published on the website of the Israel Defense Forces.

We note that this is a new procedure that enhances and facilitates in most topics (and we are not adding restrictions to the previous procedures). The new procedures clarify and specify procedures that were not clear in the past or those that led to malfunctions and mistakes.

The procedures detail the procedures for foreigners who wish to come to and enter the Judea & Samaria region, with almost no restrictions, for the purposes of studies, work, staying with a family, volunteering while arranging in advance and obtaining a permit for the requested purpose.

By examining the procedures, you will see that there are several cases in which the foreign applicant(s) are given the opportunity to be assisted by Israeli embassies around the world, and to submit their application to the consular representative at our nearest embassy.

    For example:

A foreigner who is required to have a visa to Israel, who is also required to have a visa to Judea & Samaria, he/she can contact their representative office and submit an application for a visa/permit to enter Judea & Samaria 45 days in advance. In this case, the application will be examined, as in the case of an application for entry into Israel, and all the data in the application will be forwarded to the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories.

    Please bear in mind:

    1. Entrance to Judea & Samaria is made through the Allenby Bridge.
    2. For foreign citizens who hold dual citizenship, one of which is Palestinian, entry to Judea & Samaria will be checked and treated as an entry request of a Palestinian citizen and according to the rules established for the entry of a Palestinian citizen.
